Bonney Monkey

The Bonnet Macaque (Macaca radiata) is a macaque that resides in India. This Old World monkey is a diurnal animal which means it is mostly active during the daytime. These monkeys are around 35-60 cm long plus a tail of 35-68 cm. Males weigh 5.5 to 9 kg and females 3.5 to 4.5 kg. It has a life span of more than 30 years. The Bonnet Macaque is an omnivore and feeds on fruits, nuts, seeds, flowers, invertebrates and cereals. There are two subspecies of Bonnet Macaques which have been identified: Macaca radiata radiata and Macaca radiata diluta.
