1) Is Wildlife Fauna Breeding & Research Open for public?
Regretfully NO.
2) Why Not? What is the purpose of having rare collection if the management refuse to allow visitors?
Visitor may introduce virus and diseases . Avian Viral diseases such as Newcastle Disease can easily be transmitted to our birds, while TB (tuberculosis) can easily be transmitted to our primates. Morever, many shy species of birds such as the Malay peacock Pheasant requires privacy in order to breed. Constant flowing of visitor will stress the shy birds up. Some birds would not only cease breeding but may even die due to stress.
3) Why are large animals such as Tiger, Elephant or Seladang is not a being raised in Wildlife Fauna Breeding & research?
Due to limited space , time, financial reason, and expertise, , we prefer to concentrate on small animals.
4) Does Wildlife Fauna sell the animals?
Our main objective is conservation and breeding. However, from time to time, we may have surplus available. Depending on which species, we do from time to time dispose our surplus according to the Wildlife Act 76/72.
